What We Offer
-
Great leadership isn't about having all the answers.
It's about creating an environment where people can find their own.
Leadership is rewarding, meaningful, and deeply human. It can also feel isolating.
You carry responsibility for your team, your organization, difficult conversations, unexpected challenges, and the people who look to you for guidance. Often, you're expected to support everyone else while having very little space to reflect on your own experiences.
Leadership coaching offers that space.
Not because you need someone to tell you how to lead.
But because every leader deserves a place where they can think out loud, ask difficult questions, challenge assumptions, and continue growing.Leadership begins with self-awareness.
The way we lead others is shaped by the way we understand ourselves.
Our communication, decision-making, reactions under pressure, and relationships with our teams are influenced by our experiences, beliefs, strengths, and blind spots.
When we become more aware of those patterns, we create more choice.
Instead of reacting, we respond.
Instead of controlling, we collaborate.
Instead of carrying everything ourselves, we begin empowering the people around us.
Leadership coaching isn't about becoming someone different.
It's about becoming more intentional in who you already are.My philosophy
I believe the strongest leaders are not the ones with the loudest voice or the perfect answers.
They're the leaders who create clarity.
Who ask thoughtful questions.
Who listen before they solve.
Who build trust through consistency.
Who aren't afraid to say, "I don't know."
Who see mistakes as opportunities to learn rather than reasons to blame.
And who understand that healthy cultures are created one conversation at a time.
My coaching blends evidence-based coaching, motivational interviewing, positive psychology, and practical leadership experience to help leaders develop both the confidence and the self-awareness needed to lead well.
Because leadership isn't something we do to people.
It's something we create with them. What we might work on
Every leader faces different challenges, and every coaching relationship is tailored to your goals.
Together, we may explore:

My perspective isn't based solely on theory.I've worked in veterinary medicine from the treatment floor to practice leadership, experiencing firsthand the realities of fast-paced environments, emotionally demanding work, staffing challenges, and organizational growth.
Alongside my leadership experience, I'm a certified Mental Health Coach with a passion for helping people and organizations flourish. My work is also deeply influenced by motivational interviewing, coaching psychology, and the lessons horses continue to teach me about communication, trust, and presence.
These experiences have shaped a coaching philosophy centered on curiosity over judgment, partnership over control, and growth over perfection.
Leadership is about people.
Processes matter.
Efficiency matters.
Strategy matters.
But organizations thrive because people thrive. When people feel psychologically safe, understood, challenged, and supported, they are more likely to contribute ideas, communicate openly, take ownership, and grow.
Healthy cultures don't happen by chance.
They are built intentionally through thousands of everyday interactions.
Every conversation is an opportunity to strengthen—or weaken—the culture we are creating.Who this is for
Leadership coaching is designed for:
Practice managers
Hospital administrators
Practice owners
Supervisors
Team leads
Emerging leaders
Anyone stepping into greater responsibility
While much of my experience comes from veterinary medicine, the principles of coaching-based leadership apply to leaders in many professions.
What coaching looks like
Leadership coaching is a collaborative partnership.
Sessions are guided by your goals, current challenges, and the conversations you're navigating right now.
Together, we'll reflect, problem-solve, develop practical strategies, and identify actions that feel realistic and aligned with your values.
You'll leave each session with greater clarity, deeper awareness, and tools you can begin using immediately not only to support your own growth, but to help the people around you grow as well.Imagine leading differently.
Imagine walking into difficult conversations with curiosity instead of anxiety.
Imagine creating a team where feedback feels like learning instead of criticism.
Imagine having the confidence to pause before reacting.
Imagine building a culture where people feel safe to contribute, challenge ideas respectfully, and bring their whole selves to work.
That kind of leadership is possible.
Not because leaders become perfect.
But because they become more present, more intentional, and more aware.
And that's where lasting change begins.Ready to begin?
Leadership can feel lonely but it doesn't have to be.Whether you're new to leadership or have been leading for years, coaching provides the opportunity to step back, reflect, and continue becoming the leader you want to be.
I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

Healthy teams don't happen by accident.
Every team has its own culture.
It's created in the conversations people have, the way feedback is given, how mistakes are handled, whether people feel safe to speak up, and how leaders respond when things become difficult.
Culture isn't built during annual retreats.
It's built every day.
One conversation at a time.
My workshops are designed to help teams strengthen communication, build trust, and create workplaces where people feel empowered to learn, contribute, and grow together.
They're practical, interactive, and rooted in the belief that healthier teams begin with greater awareness.
More than a training session
Information alone rarely changes behavior.
Most people already know communication is important.
They know feedback matters.
They know trust is essential.
The challenge isn't understanding these concepts.
It's learning how to put them into practice during busy days, difficult conversations, competing priorities, and moments of stress.
That's where these workshops are different.
Rather than simply providing information, we create opportunities for reflection, discussion, and real-world application.
Participants leave with practical tools they can begin using immediately—not because they memorized a framework, but because they've experienced a different way of thinking and communicating.
My approach
Every organization is different.
Rather than delivering the same presentation to every audience, I work with you to understand your team, your goals, and the challenges you're currently facing.
Together, we'll create an experience that feels relevant, engaging, and immediately applicable.
My workshops blend coaching, motivational interviewing, leadership development, positive psychology, and practical workplace experience.
You'll find thoughtful conversation, interactive exercises, reflection, discussion, and plenty of opportunities for participants to connect with one another.
Because meaningful learning happens when people are invited into the conversation—not simply talked at.

A deeper understanding of psychological safety
New ways to approach feedback and conflict
Greater connection with colleagues
Actionable ideas they can apply immediately
More importantly, they leave having experienced conversations that often continue long after the workshop ends.
Because lasting culture change doesn't happen in a single afternoon.
It begins when people start relating to one another differently.
My hope for every workshop
I don't want people to leave thinking,
"That was an interesting presentation."
I want them to leave asking,
"What if we started leading, listening, and communicating this way every day?"
Those questions create conversations. Conversations create relationships.
Relationships create culture. And culture shapes everything.Let's build something together
Whether you're looking for a one-time workshop, leadership retreat, conference presentation, or an ongoing team development partnership, I'd love to learn more about your organization and the people you serve.
Together, we can create an experience that supports not only individual growth, but the culture your team is building every day.

Inspiring conversations that change the way we lead, communicate, and grow.
I believe the best presentations don't leave people with pages of notes.
They leave people asking better questions.
As a veterinary leader, certified Mental Health Coach, and founder of Between Stillness Coaching, I speak on the topics that have shaped my own journey—leadership, communication, coaching, psychological safety, and building workplaces where both people and performance can thrive.
Every presentation blends practical tools, real-world experience, and thoughtful reflection. My goal isn't simply to share information, but to spark conversations that continue long after the session ends.
Whether I'm speaking to veterinary teams, practice managers, conference attendees, or healthcare professionals, I hope people leave feeling challenged, encouraged, and equipped to lead with greater intention.
Featured Talks
Redefining the Performance Review
Moving from evaluation to conversation.
Traditional performance reviews often create anxiety, defensiveness, and missed opportunities for growth. What if they became one of the most meaningful conversations your team has each year?
In this presentation, we explore how coaching principles and motivational interviewing can transform performance reviews into conversations that build trust, ownership, and development.
Participants will learn how to:
Create psychologically safe review conversations
Ask questions that encourage reflection
Deliver feedback that promotes growth
Increase employee ownership and engagement
Turn annual reviews into ongoing coaching conversations
The Power of Pause
Why slowing down helps us lead better.
In fast-paced professions, our instinct is often to react.
But what if our greatest leadership tool isn't acting faster—but pausing first?
This presentation explores how intentional pauses improve communication, decision-making, emotional regulation, and relationships. Drawing from leadership, coaching, neuroscience, and lessons learned from horses, we'll discover why awareness often begins in the moments we choose not to rush.
Participants will leave with practical strategies to:
Respond rather than react
Navigate difficult conversations with greater presence
Improve emotional awareness
Make clearer decisions under pressure
Build resilience through intentional leadership
Managing Through a Coaching Lens
From problem solver to people developer.
Many leaders feel responsible for having all the answers.
Coaching offers another approach.
Instead of solving every problem, leaders learn to ask questions that help others think, grow, and take ownership.
This session introduces a coaching-based leadership style that develops confident teams while strengthening communication, accountability, and trust.
Participants will learn how to:
Shift from directing to coaching
Ask better questions
Develop employee confidence and autonomy
Navigate challenges through curiosity
Build a culture of learning rather than dependence
Building Psychological Safety
Creating workplaces where people feel safe to learn, contribute, and grow.
Psychological safety isn't about avoiding difficult conversations.
It's about creating an environment where people feel safe enough to have them.
Together we'll explore the everyday leadership behaviors that strengthen trust, encourage open communication, and create cultures where people are willing to ask questions, admit mistakes, and contribute ideas.
Better Questions, Better Conversations
The quality of our leadership is often reflected in the quality of the questions we ask.
Questions have the power to open conversations, strengthen relationships, reduce defensiveness, and encourage reflection.
This presentation explores how curiosity can become one of a leader's most valuable skills, helping teams move beyond compliance toward genuine engagement and growth.
Customized Presentations
Every organization is different.
If your conference, hospital, or leadership team is exploring a specific challenge, I'd be happy to develop a presentation that aligns with your goals.
Topics can be customized around leadership development, workplace culture, communication, employee engagement, coaching skills, team development, or veterinary practice management.

Veterinary conferences
Veterinary hospitals and practice teams
Practice managers and hospital administrators
Leadership groups
Healthcare organizations
Professional associations
Educational programs
Retreats and workshops
Presentations are available as keynote sessions, conference breakouts, Lunch & Learns, workshops, leadership retreats, webinars, and virtual programs.
My Speaking Style
People often describe my presentations as thoughtful, practical, and conversational.
I enjoy asking questions as much as answering them.
Rather than standing on stage as the expert with all the solutions, I see my role as creating space for people to think differently about leadership, communication, and the way we work together.
My hope is simple:
That one conversation might change the next conversation someone has with a colleague, an employee, a client, or even themselves.
Because culture doesn't change through policies alone.
It changes through people.
One conversation at a time.
Let's Start the Conversation
If you're looking for a speaker who combines practical leadership experience with a coaching mindset and a genuine passion for helping people grow, I'd love to connect.
Together, we can create a presentation that leaves your audience with more than ideas—we can give them conversations worth continuing.

Sometimes the most important conversation you'll have is the one you have with yourself.
Life can move quickly.
We juggle responsibilities, care for the people around us, solve problems, and keep moving forward. Somewhere along the way, it becomes easy to lose sight of ourselves. You may not be in crisis.
In fact, from the outside, your life may look like it's going just fine.
But perhaps you've noticed a quiet feeling that something isn't quite aligned. You're carrying more than you realize. You're standing at a crossroads. You're questioning what comes next, or you're simply longing for more clarity, confidence, or connection.
That is where coaching begins. Not because you're broken. Not because someone else has the answers.
But because creating space to slow down often allows us to hear ourselves more clearly. What is coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative conversation focused on your growth.
Rather than giving advice or telling you what you should do, I ask thoughtful questions, listen deeply, and help you explore your experiences from new perspectives.
Together, we'll uncover patterns, celebrate strengths, work through challenges, and identify practical steps that feel authentic to you. You remain the expert in your own life. My role is to help you reconnect with your own wisdom, values, and direction.
What can we work on?
Every coaching relationship is different because every person is different.
Some clients come with a specific goal. Others simply know they want something to change but aren't yet sure what that looks like.Together, we might explore:
Navigating life transitions
Building confidence and self-trust
Strengthening relationships
Managing stress and overwhelm
Creating healthier boundaries
Improving communication
Finding balance between caring for others and caring for yourself
Clarifying values and purpose
Working through self-doubt
Making meaningful decisions
Developing greater resilience
Living with more intention and presence
You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes the first coaching conversation is simply about discovering what matters most.
My approach
My coaching is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and partnership.
I draw from evidence-based coaching principles, motivational interviewing, positive psychology, and mental health coaching, while also bringing insights from veterinary leadership and the lessons I've learned working alongside horses.
I won't tell you how to live your life.
Instead, I'll ask questions that help you discover your own answers.
Sometimes those questions are gentle.
Sometimes they'll challenge you.
Often, they're the questions we don't ask ourselves because we're too busy trying to keep everything together.
I believe lasting growth comes from awareness. When we begin to notice our patterns, understand our values, and recognize the choices available to us, meaningful change becomes possible.
What a session looks like
Each session is shaped around you.
Some conversations are reflective. Others are practical and action-oriented. Often, they're a combination of both.Together we'll:
Explore what's currently on your mind
Identify what's beneath the surface
Recognize patterns that may be helping—or holding—you back
Clarify what feels most important
Create realistic, meaningful next steps
You'll leave each session with greater clarity, fresh perspective, and actions that feel aligned with your goals.
Who coaching is for
Coaching may be a good fit if you are:
Ready to invest in your personal growth
Curious about understanding yourself more deeply
Open to reflection and honest conversation
Looking for support through change or uncertainty
Wanting to lead your life with greater intention
Seeking a space where you can think out loud without judgment
You don't need to have all the answers before reaching out.
You simply need a willingness to begin.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is coaching the same as therapy?
No.
While coaching and therapy can complement one another, coaching focuses on the present and future. Together, we'll explore your goals, strengths, and opportunities for growth while helping you move toward the life you want to create.
Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on?
Not at all.
Many people begin coaching because they know something needs attention but can't quite put it into words yet. That's perfectly okay.
Are sessions virtual or in person?
Both options are available depending on your location and preferences.
